Any SF fan will have a subject they can be borderline obsessive over.
Not for me the Doctor Who's, the Star Warses and all the rest of it.
For me its always been The War Of The Worlds, from the rather dodgy record adaptation of the mid 60's, through being scared witless by the Pal film, the word perfect recital of the Jeff Wayne album and the toleration of the many comic, film and prose adaptations.
So, join me in a prolonged amble through my thoughts on this most classic of SF tales.

The definitive Martian
As i've said before, no-one's done a truly accurate version in my opinion. But this one, by Paul in the 1920's, is my favourite.
