The audio cassette of the album i bought waaay back in '78 is long since gone. This hasn't though - and i still treasure it. What a shame its issue number 1 and they never made more.

Any SF fan will have a subject they can be borderline obsessive over. Not for me the Doctor Who's, the Star Warses and all the rest of it. For me its always been The War Of The Worlds, from the rather dodgy record adaptation of the mid 60's, through being scared witless by the Pal film, the word perfect recital of the Jeff Wayne album and the toleration of the many comic, film and prose adaptations. So, join me in a prolonged amble through my thoughts on this most classic of SF tales.
